Flow Control Systems

Controlling the Flow of Contaminated Water

Security Control Valves are located according to the Whitewater Security enhanced optimization model in order to control water flow. Tamper-proof control valves are installed in critical locations such as water reservoirs and high risk facilities. In the event of a breach or contamination, various detectors are triggered, promptly activating the security valve to close in order to prevent contaminated water from flowing out. Once closed, the valve can only be re-opened by authorized personnel in possession of the security code.
